A handheld device that combines computing, telephone/fax, and networking features. A typical PDA can function as a cellular phone, fax sender, and personal organizer. Many PDAs incorporate handwriting and/or voice recognition features. PDAs also are called palmtops/palm PDAs, handheld computers.
